Terms of use
Last updated: September 15, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Palestra app. By installing and using it, you accept them.
Before you load the bar. Palestra is a training log, not medical advice. See a health professional before starting or stepping up a program, especially if you have an injury, pain or a health condition. You alone decide the loads you lift.
1. Publisher
The Palestra app is published by Edwin Helet. Contact: contact@hedwin.fr.
2. License
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app on the devices associated with your Apple Account, in accordance with these terms and the App Store terms.
You may not decompile the app, extract its source code, redistribute it or sell access to it.
3. Nature of the tool
Palestra is a training-tracking tool. It is neither a medical device, nor a coaching service delivered by a professional, nor nutritional advice. The programs, starting loads, progression suggestions, 1RM estimates and calorie targets it shows are computed or generated automatically, for information only.
Exercises should be performed with sound technique, a proper warm-up and, for heavy loads, a spotter or safety equipment.
4. The Coach
The Coach's proposals are produced by an artificial intelligence model. They may be incomplete or unsuited to your situation: review them before saving and following them. The Coach depends on Apple Intelligence being available on your device, which is outside the publisher's control.
5. Your data and backups
Your data is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your Apple Account. The app offers a manual JSON export; keeping backups is your responsibility.
Since the publisher has no access to any of your data, it cannot restore lost content.
6. Price
The app is offered free of charge. Should paid features be offered in the future, their terms would be presented before any purchase, and payments would be processed by Apple through the App Store.
7. Apple services
iCloud sync, Health integration, widgets, the Lock Screen timer and the Coach rely on Apple services whose availability and terms don't depend on the publisher.
8. Limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher shall not be liable for any injury or damage resulting from performing an exercise or following a program or suggestion shown in the app, nor for data loss resulting from hardware failure, uninstallation or a missing backup.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to consumers by French law.
9. Changes to the app
The app evolves: features may be added, changed or removed. These terms may change too; the last-updated date appears at the top of the page.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction.
